American Airlines Group Show

Last fall, Ann Hart of Annart and Jennifer Embler of Embler Art Gallery, collaborated withAmerican Airlines Admirals Club to display works by  a group of 6 artist in their Laguardia Aiport Admirals Club in New York. I have 11 photographs from my SKY/SEA series including three 48″ x 60″ prints of the “Dark Interval” series. The other artist include: Tom Berntsen, Liz Dexheimer, C. Leach, David Morico, and  M. Wulffleff. They will be on view until the Fall of 2009.

In the spring of 2007, I was juried into the Silvermine Guild of Artist.  With more than 300 artist and over 80 years of history, the guild supports artist of all medium with great galleries and an artist community along with a school and concert series. “Elsewhere” Group Exhibit at Silvermine Guild of Artist

“Elsewhere”, is a group exhibit at Silvermine Guild of Artist and it was juried by Robert and Shana ParkeHarisson. A husband and wife photography team that, as Robert ParkeHarrisson writes in their second book, “I want to make images that have open, narrative qualities, enough to suggest ideas about human limits. Here is a four page spread from Charleston Weddings Magazine from a wonderful wedding that I shot last summer in Myrtle Beach. It was one of those weddings were everyone, from the family to the planner and back to the guests, could not have been nicer, easeir or more accomodating to work with! That always makes for great pictures!!!

60th Annual Art of the Northeast Exhibition

May 8 to June 5 2009 Juried by: Douglas Dreishpoon Chief Curator, Albright-Knox Art Gallery Buffalo, New York This exhibition is held every year at the Silvermine Guild of Artist and is open to any artist living in the Northeast, from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania to all of the New England states. 434 artist submitted over 925 works which only 51 pieces were accepted. UCLA Anderson Loeb Awards

Normally, I would not consider a corporate job an entry in the News section but this one is the exception. Every year I photograph the UCLA-Anderson School of Management Gerald Loeb Awards. Currently hosted by Tyler Mathisen of CNBC, annually it gives awards to journalist of all media and markets,  from small local newspapers to cable and network news organizations, for excellence in financial news reporting. I am posting this for two reasons. Jordan Matter’s New Book “Uncovered”

My friend Jordan Matter has self published his book entitled “Uncoverd.” After watching the media madness over the Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction” during the Superbowl a few years back, Jordan got to thinking about our culture and the need to cover up. He then found out that in  1992, New York Court of Appeals ruled that is permissible for women to go topless in NY. Silvermine Guild Arts Centers yearly fundraiser, Signed, Sealed & Delivered, is taking place on October 3rd and 4th. Original 4″x6″ paintings, prints, photographs and collages, created by the Guilds artist will be on sale for $50 each with all processed going to the Guild.
